Photos Unboxed: An Insane 720BHP Volvo 940

Sometimes I am my own worst enemy when it comes to organising photos. I forgot about this shoot we did with Roberts Volvo as I had these photos tucked away on an older hard drive and only found them again recently.

Robert was in the middle of finishing this car when we first visited their workshop back in 2018 and when we returned in 2019, they had just put the final touches on this completely custom build. I’ll be the first to admit I was entirely out of my comfort zone looking at this incredible build. Robert himself didn’t want to be on camera, so in our video where we chatted about the car, I did a lot of waffling to fill in the blanks of our interview. For the lack of talking Robert did in our original video, he makes up for it with this absolutely mental build! Robert is a reserved guy and prefers to let his craftsmanship do the talking.

This is one of the most insane Volvo builds in the world and what I love about this whole project is the fact Robert made it for himself. There’s barely any photographic evidence of this car online, and if we didn’t shoot any of these photos or the original video on his car, not too many people would even know it exists.

His tasteful approach to the exterior and interior modifications, all looking like they belong, along with keeping the original exterior paint, this Volvi was a one-owner machine that lived locally to him!

Robert pushed the limits of what’s possible with the original engine, and this thing is an authentic piece of Custom Swedish insanity. Luckily Robert was friendly enough to type up the complete spec list of this Scandinavian brick which ill attach at the bottom of the photo set for anyone interested.
