Prodrift Round 3: Citywest 2010 Pt 1

A lot of people seemed to enjoy the amount of coverage from the last event picture wise so we decided to go for it again. Many sites and stuff regulate the amount of pictures that go up, fuck it were going to stick up as much that was good about something as possible. There is always stuff going on off the track that’s always worth the coverage also. Either way here is what we got from the Sunday. There was a show of cars inside this crazy arena style shed which looked like something made for the x-games. Anyways on with the pics.

Walking straight in the door I lurked this clean hachiroku, the speed star longchamps have always been one of my favourite wheel for the ae86. This one seemed to wear them perfectly, what a delicious example of a nice car.

Some jzx-100 on some Ultralite Atec II wheels. This thing looked like a beast.

This rps13 looked very street. The grids actually look good on it. Rotas are such a popular wheel here its insane. I guess there cheap and make good replicas, most of all they seem to be getting the job done and that’s what people want. So why not I guess.

These z31’s can be made look so good for so little. What a cool car. Always nice to see one in the flesh.

This s14 was looking clean and simple.

This was certainly a clean s15, I dont know about the mugen mf10 style wheels? This thing needs to get lower. Its already 90% there in terms of looks.

I love this car. The model 5’s do it for me. They have been tainted by wolfrace and that but fuck it the real thing is always going to be a winner. Im always happy to see this car.

This e30 was clean. Definitely has some potential.

This 13.5 is such a cool car. I really wish it was lower. The professor sp1’s look so good on it.

Same goes for this onevia. Its such a nice car. The white on white with the crk-ai rims are winning. It just needs to get that little bit lower!

This s15 is a big yes. It looks very tasty indeed.

This car reminded me of a shark. Some crazy gill action going on. I was scared.

I didn’t get the whole smoke machine effect. The altezza was smoking some front wheels or something.

Some nice Japanese rear.

OOOOhhhhhh shit

This rp was definetly orange.Low with some nice chrome and a touch of decent offset. Good Job.

The leaflets are a good read.

Anyone else notice how many urinals there were? I mean really?

The vibe was good outside. The barbecue was going off and the weather was picking up. Good Job Ireland. For once!

Haha..

A clean bit of engine bay eye candy.

And maybe a little more? The green against the purple was definitely cool even if it wasn’t intended and that 1jz was sitting happy.

Not everyone has a thing for the whole battle look. I’m sure this car will be painted soon but it still looks good in its current state.

These poor tires have the shortest life span ever haha

This hachi was in the pits again, and I was happy to have another look at it, and maybe take another picture.

Battle scars

and some more..

Its just the norm I guess.

Kouki and Zenki taking a rest.

The s-chassis truly dominates the selection of cars in drifting.

This 14.5 was amazing. Check that stance. I couldn’t get enough of this car off and on the track. A few more like this please!

Another car which I couldnt get away from was Darren McNamara’s r32. This was one mean looking skyline.

The rivets make it even better.

This car would be right at home in Mad Max. Or cruising the Wangan killing other drivers. Amazing.

Yep, this thing certainly is an evil car. Its like the skylines evil twin brother whose locked in the basement and dressed in a white disguise.

Darragh from DriftIreland’s car is always nice on the eyes.

Same goes for Steve’s r34. I have to shoot this beast soon.

This guy was looking intense. I was glad the gun wasn’t real.

I have to admit, I was jealous of the Dori Garage setup that was going on up at citywest. I wish i brought my SSG for some action. Maybe next time.

RC action is always fun. It was cool to see the interest in 1/10 drifting from the crowd.

Buttsy’s sc was standing out big time amongst the Nissan’s.

Denis Healy’s Hachi wins the prize for the coolest car of the weekend. When I got a glance of this after showing up I nearly shit on myself.

He had built the car I was planning on in a few years already. Everything in my head was right in front of me. The colour, the trueno shell, the deepdish steelies, I love it.

I was so happy to see a set of diamond racing steelies in real life, and better again on the trueno. This car had no sponsors on it which made it look 10000 times better when it was competing out on the track.

Hopefully I can get a hold of this car and maybe a feature before its killed!! I was watching the car slam right before my eyes on the track and it made me sad, but I guess that’s what it was built for and the little hachi was loving it.

Especially with the sr20 lurking in the engine bay. What a car. I can only sit back and be jealous. Good Job! haha

Stay tuned for more coverage coming real soon..
