E36 Part Hunting on a Mountain

There’s a unique camaraderie that comes with hunting for car parts in an old farm barn, perched on the side of a mountain in rural Ireland, especially in the midst of a storm. Conor’s old Corolla brought us endless entertainment that night as we managed to get it fired up for some E36 vision bits. These shared adventures are always my favourite, and perhaps the most rewarding part of chasing car parts around Ireland. The interesting guys we meet and the funny stories we share at the end of it all strengthen our bond and make these experiences even more memorable.

Buying a 15-Year Abandoned BMW E36 Project

We buy an abandoned BMW E36 Project that’s been sitting since 2008!

A week with NIGHTRIDE

After helping Sam buy his Dream AE86, I hung out with the Nightride guys in Poland for a week to see their slice of the car world.

Drift Bash in the Rough E36

Here’s a little photo dump from the recent video on Drift Bashes: Looking back, the E36 was heaps of fun to drift in. I loved every second of it; it’s just a very tiring car. It’s ideal for someone else to do what I did, and if they wanted to, they could throw some serious effort at it to make it look right.

Ironically, for a channel and blog that talks about “Ireland’s Finest” and style, this car doesn’t represent much of that, if im being honest. When we posted this, we had our hands on the cheap-ish 350z and tried our best to make it as presentable as possible. I’ll always have fond memories of this machine, but the time has come to let it go to the next guy. Im always very grateful for the Club Loose guys and the Drift Games lads for letting us come up and throw ourselves around the track.

Anyway, here are a few photos we took from that weekend; I always take very little as I’m mostly petrified of driving, which hopefully will subside as I get the hang of going sideways—massive shout-out to Niall for replacing the wiper linkage on Sunday morning. Good times!

Painting The Cam Cover and Sorting The Bmw

Here are a few photos from the night we installed the cam cover and the pulleys, a vision I had for this for a long time I was curious to see if it would work out.

Josh’s S15, Kevins Wheel Collection

Here’s a little photo dump from the last few videos from the shed. When nothing happened on the 86, we would drip across to the E36. Like many of you, having a full-time job and life leaves little room for other stuff, so cars get neglected. We wanted to spruce up the BMW, and at the same time, Josh was getting his car buttoned up. I had been editing Japan in a Van series, so I missed much of this progress.

Our Horrible E36 BMW

The E36 BMW gets some attention as we prep it for a track day and sort out the looks.

We Bought The Sketchiest BMW E36 In Ireland | Juicebox Unboxed #80

We collect the sketchiest E36 BMW drift car in Ireland. As the cost of the AE86 rises, using it to learn how to drift looks like a terrible decision. We pick this BMW E36 up for cheap, so I can learn better car control without wrecking the Trueno. Josh also rips the engine out of his E30 to prepare it for something special. A very BMW filled episode.

A Forgotten race car on the roof & AE86 progress | Juicebox Unboxed #48

We look at a forgotten AE92 race car on the roof in Flips shed and get some more work done on the AE86.

Photos Unboxed: Ice Drifting in Sweden

It’s nice to finally get the photo features going on the website again. I’ve been pretty strapped for time over the last year with the Vlogs and trying to get work done on the AE86. When the website went under and the old hosting service basically held the site hostage, I didn’t have the time or patience to sit down and sort it all out and basically neglected it. A few weeks ago I had some free time over Christmas and decided to make it happen. Juicebox has over nine years worth of Blog content so it took a considerable amount of time to move everything over to a new server but its all working pretty decent now. I’ll kick things off with our trip to Sweden almost ten months ago. As many have you have seen the vlog we did, I’m going keep things pretty short under the photos and give a rough explanation as to what’s going on and maybe some insightful info that might not have been shared in the videos. This “Photos Unboxed” series will be a behind the scenes photo features accompanying the vlog series. In an age where reading and looking at websites is slowly dying,  I hope you enjoy the slower pace of these.

Dubshed 2015

dshed152

On Sunday just gone we took the long drive up to Belfast to attend Dubshed. After a long drive up from Waterford in the rain, which made the journey worse, we arrived at King’s Hall, Belfast. We parked the car and made our way into one of the three sheds to see what Dubshed had to offer us this year.
