An Irish Corolla KE70 van with a shed-built V8 swap—something that really shouldn’t exist, but somehow does.
Final Bout at Nikko Circuit, with AE86s, KE70s and some of the best style drifting around. The scene is still very much alive, here are some photos from the day.
The Mitto Natto AE86, one of the most famous 86s to ever exist, we get a close up of it at a famous 86 shop Ukiya Shokai
A look around a K12 NISMO March Cup car, saved from being scrapped. Here are some photos from it and our trip to First Joyce.
Tokyo during Auto Salon week is a different place at night. We ended up at a few underground meets and crossed paths with some kaido racers, something you don’t really expect until you see it for yourself. Here are some snaps from this encounter.
We find the remains of Yatabe, Japan’s lost high-speed Test track.

We binge on world-class drifting, D1 at Meihan, Night drifting at Yamanashi, finishing the night off on a mountain touge. Quite possibly the most drift packed day we’ve ever experienced.
Barry is back to cut the rust out of the AE86. Jackie calls down to apply fresh seam-seal the vulnerable parts of the Trueno! More progress and fewer distractions with this one.

In this episode, we fall down the rabbit hole, trying to find out how many AE86’s Toyota produced worldwide. This episode started because two of our Truenos were 40 cars between each other on the assembly line in 1987 and now they live in the same shed. We also uncover some rare photos and interviews with the head designers and engineers on the AE86 chassis.
I had been meaning to shoot these cars for quite some time now. During the week when I’m working up in JDMDistro, I’ve been trying to make my way out to certain cars or groups of mates with interesting sheds. These lads are all local to where I’m living midweek so we managed to lock in a date after work last year and head for the hills.
Shed distractions, rings, A31 Cefiro’s and old stories with very strong Irish accents.
