A Fluke Track Day at Nikko with Tec Arts

Here is a somewhat extensive photo dump from visiting a Fluke event at Nikko. This had a much more locals-only feel; we were the only attendees. First, we made a trip to the gigantic statue out by the Tsukuba circuit, as it is impossible to avoid if you stay near it. The statue is called Kamakura Daibutsu, and it’s a must-see if you are up in that area. The Nikko day was fantastic; I shot a few photos of Tec Arts and friends who looked to be having a day off from work. Winds Auto’s Hiromi and her husband Obata were there too. Nikko events never disappoint; there is always something to see.

Juicebox in Japan: Tec Arts

After a night of madness on the docks, we woke to a familiar Irish sight, a soggy grey morning. Regardless of the weather, there was a shop that had been on the hit list for a very long time and I was incredibly eager to check it out before our trip came to an end. Tec Arts has been around for a long time and is a very familiar name in the 86 world. They primarily deal with AE86’s these days but are known to have built some very cool cars over the years.

Garage Life: Tec Art’s Visit

Chris Gray just got back from an interesting trip to the infamous Tec Art’s garage in Japan. For those of you who don’t know who Tec Art’s are they are probably one of the most well known ae86 tuners in Japan. Tec-Art’s is a small family-run shop in the outskirts of  Tokyo, a place that over the years Kamata-san and his brother have turned into one of the most respected hachiroku shops in Japan, They’ve built some infamous cars, we recently had this video on the site of the Eco 86 which Tsuchiya drove around Tsukubu in video option.
