Photos Unboxed: The Rally Sprint
Every year they hold two rally sprints in the business park. These always bring the variety of cars we would otherwise never encounter. It’s a scene we are not too connected with being honest. On any given day you are sure to see stuff like this MK2 Escort or EX WRC cars, we are fortunate to have some of the best roads for this sort of thing.
The Rally scene in Ireland is enormous, it’s pretty much a whole other universe filled with some of the most well-sorted builds, id say the rally scene is the most prominent car scene in Ireland.
We are a lazy group of mates and to be honest, we don’t travel to any of the rallies when people from all over the world would kill to see this stuff. It’s right on our doorstep!
For some reason, its always wet when they hold these events and the business park and its 90-degree bends and high kerbs lead to some dodgy accidents.
Always a treat to see an 86 Rally car, we have to track some proper ones down for a feature in the coming months.
This thing was great! A Micra rally car is always going to make us smile.
Hard to beat a MK2 Escort Rally car.
As they were finishing up I had the chance to give the March a quick lash of the track, there’s some footage of this, but I’m not sure what happened to it.
The car was in NCT/Inspection mode, so it was the ideal height.
The Calsonic Rally march looked at home on the track!!! The only time the ride height suited it to be honest.
When the rain died down, we finished this evening off with a traditional fire to get rid of a few bits and pieces. Lovely!
