Japan in a Van – Endless, Up Garage and Car Create ING

The next day, we were flung straight into the deep end. We hit up an Autobacs, which was just down the street from our hotel room, for a quick look; the car park at any Auto parts shop always has a few gems. Our aircon was broken, which resulted in an incredibly humid night’s sleep, but that didn’t dampen our spirits.

An awesome view from the hotel window.

Check this delivery van!

So cool!

An unexpected EG6 in the parking area. Cool plate too.

Sporty wheels on the Delivery truck.

The overwhelming interior of a Typical Autobacs.

If you’ve been to Japan, you can hear the noise in this picture.

Organised chaos.

Flip getting excited about our first shop scan.

Ah the parallax of choice, 700 different air fresheners to choose from!

Outside an Autobacs, there’s always cool stuff coming and going. Shame this version of the Hiace was never offered in Ireland.

One our way for breakfast, a shop called “Total Car Create” gave us a delightful surprise on the side of the road. They had a Hakosuka parked right out front, so we stopped dead in our tracks for a look. The owner was amiable and excited to put one of our stickers on his GC10 Skyline.

What an insanely cool machine.

GC10 perfection!

This sticker placement was a big moment on the trip; seeing one of our stickers stuck to a machine’s glass as cool as this was something else! A country that inspired the artwork, now being put back onto a car from that time and era, was the ultimate compliment. Not even two days here, and we were already striking gold.

Total Car Creators ING, I bet this place has a few stories.

More interesting metal outside the Himeji Up Garage, most likely worker cars.

We decided to go to the Himeji Up Garage, where we pimped the Elgrande three years previously, for a quick look around. I ended up purchasing a steering wheel for the 86, which was a pleasant surprise, progress on the 86 without even realising it!

Look at those tiny VS-XX’s!

I’m pretty sure this is the exact same strip of the road we shot the AE86 on in the first Japan video. We hounded this old driver for a few minutes trying to get photos, it was hard to contain the excitement.

What a beauty! Out in the wild.

We decided to head once again for Endless tuning and Impulse AE86 garage as they were close to the main road as we worked our way up towards Osaka for the night. We felt it would have been rude not to stop and show these spots to Flip as this was his first time down around these parts of Japan.

This place is something else!

What a view! So good to be back here, it’s hard to explain how insane this view is right on the side of the road.

This 34 was something else, looks like the owner is part of the RH9 club.

I could stare at this forever. 34 GTR perfection.

Their selection of 35’s reminded us just how good this chassis can look. Loved the gold decals to match the wheels.

Another shot of the 34, love the endless rear plate.

It has to be the best slogan ever!

I love the faded purple on the front of the building too, looks exactly as you would expect.

Endless once again left us in awe. Business appeared to be booming; It was nice to see the shop doing well; after politely asking, the owner let us have a nose around. Endless was a shop we visited on our first trip. It’s one of the more iconic GTR tuning shops from the drag era in Japan. The backdrop is surreal. Rice fields surround the premises, and you met with some of the best GTR’s right out front.

I’ll let the rest of the snaps do the talking.

I hope you have time to post one of these photo blogs for each youtube vid ^^ Really enjoyed the photos from your previous trip!

That’s the plan! Hopefully, there’s enough time to do both, either way, they will end up on the site if things get a little delayed. There was more of a focus on shooting footage this time but we still ended up coming home with over 3-4k images!

Great photos man! I mean…if you wanted to post 3-4k photos, I don’t think anyone would complain.
