An Incredible Family Car Collection

In part two of our trip to Paul Keenan and friends, Paul took us to the family house. The first thing we were greeted to as we drove down the lane was his Yellow Evo 9, which he told us was the one and only yellow Evo 9 ever sold in Ireland through their family dealership back in 2006. How good is the license plate, I love the story that this was the very car he sat in as a kid and managed to find it many years later and buy it back.

Yellow is such a beautiful colour on an Evo in my opinion and it really stands out against the green of Ireland.

The family home has such an insane mix of cars, kits fantastic to see all sorts being saved and preserved. How unexpected is this original Irish-sold Opel Nova coupe, you can spot the old Irish license plate on it.

Paul is a man after my own heart, this is more of his 14 and 13-inch wheel collection.

The 2CV he built with his brothers absolutely slammed beyond the point of moving, so much so that they had to run this on space saver tyres.

What a view! Niall’s Millenium Jade repainted EF3 he is currently rebuilding with a b18c, this was sitting perfectly on SSR Type C’s.

A MK2 front starlet that Paul and his brother Niall bought from the UK, obviously it got the usual treatment, slammed on nice period correct Hayashi wheels.

In total contrast to that starlet, another one was sitting out the back which Paul had told me they had saved from being abandoned. He plans to either use this for parts or restore it if the time is there.

The 2CV 24-hour racers were an unexpected surprise at the side of the house, the lads literally bought the entire series from many years ago. Paul hopes to restore one of them someday, if anything it makes for an epic garden ornament display.

Such a cool view!

I loved seeing this little EG8 Ferio behind the house, this was saved from a farmer’s field and the lads eventually plan to restore it to a usable condition.

I’ve always enjoyed the look of these 80’s Lancer Turbos, this one has been around for some time, the last place I shot a photo of this was at Mondello. I love the mismatched Longchamp and mesh wheels.

At the time we called up, Paul had just purchased this one owner Carina from an older lady in Dublin.

Paul’s brother Niall’s daily driver, an Irish EK4 that’s been treated to a host of visual extras.

You can’t go wrong with TE37’s complimenting that Super Sonic Blue paint job.

The dogs kept watch as we enjoyed the tour.

A car I wasn’t expecting to see was this Mirage Cyborg, like the Starlet and Evo 4, these were considered fairly disposable so there aren’t too many left.

Another Evo 4, that’s three we had the pleasure of seeing in one day, all left relatively stock too which is cool, its quite evident from this tour just how much this family loves Mitsubishis, and it makes a lot of sense considering they have a family dealership.

Another shot of this beauty, If I could have one in any colour it would be yellow.

Pauls GX71 Mark II which he drove home in, is incredible just how he can keep track of all these cars and keep them on the road!

Paul’s brother Sean has this tasty Yellow Evo 7 which was sitting on Pausl Advan RG2’s at the time.

A machine I didn’t know existed, the Pajero Woody. Every day is a school day, I love how much stuff we learned from Paul on this trip about cars I wouldn’t have delved too deep on.

Paul’s brothers Turbo Mivec, I would have loved a spin in this.

Another stack of projects all lines up waiting to be worked on. I didn’t take any photos past here for some reason, I think once we went inside Paul’s dad’s shed, our minds were completely blown. THis is the dream family setup, generational car love. In the background here you can see Paul’s shed being built, we will have to call up again for a revisit in the near future. Hope you enjoyed these photos and the videos on this collection, it really makes me appreciate just whats hiding around Ireland.
