After 18 years of chasing this 326 Power RPS13 180SX from the peak of the JDM import boom to today, it’s finally mine. This Auto Salon demo car has spent almost 15 years in Ireland, surviving the highs and lows of the import scene and the recession. Let’s look closer at what a high-end JDM import looks like after two decades on Irish soil.
This is the story of Ireland’s top 40 cars from the Forgotten JDM Car Boom. We deep dive into why so many famous Japanese icons ended up in Ireland and what happened to them.

Ireland is packed with sheds; when you think you’ve seen or heard about it all, something comes down the wire, and you must check it out. Paul Stryker and family have been in the scene for years, and Paul himself is a big Nissan guy. He asked us to look at the family collection some time ago, and it didn’t disappoint. The chicken sheds on the land were filled with cool cars like this Ex Uras R34 skyline, which survived the Ireland import boom in the 2010s.
Following our special on this D1 AE86 Resurrection, we take a closer look at this legendary build, with a bonus history of Ryota Yuasa’s Levin throughout the years. Happy New year, everyone!
A D1 Grand Prix Legend, the Bride AE86, driven by Ryota Yuasa, nicknamed The “Crash King”, a car imported to Ireland and lost to the history books until a couple of friends bring it back from the dead. An epic Irish story, from a ditch to a wedding in seven months.
You’ve probably arrived here after watching the recent Juicebox video. Eamons car is another local machine, long overdue some attention both on here and on Youtube. The problem is when your friends have these remarkable cars, You always leave them on the back burner. There’s no sense of urgency to do photoshoots as you think they will be around forever.
We take a closer look at this rowdy perfectly styled BN sports kitted R32 Skyline Sedan
I don’t need to get into too much detail about the back story to shooting these cars; it’s the very same as the Cut Loose guys. The Reckless tribe crew were chatting to us on social media and decided to meet up with the Cut Loose boys and road trip their way to the Juicebox BBQ.
Gaz reached out to me after he took a photo of a Juicebox sticker he stuck on his S15. I’m flattered that many people reach out to us to show where they have placed their purchases and Gaz’s car was just one of those situations where you had to take a second look. His car was absolutely stunning. I was flattered that he wanted to throw our stickers on his build, and I was shocked that I hadn’t seen this car before.
Let’s kick things off again with part two of last years BBQ. Like I said in the previous post, we cram as many images as we can into these articles, mainly because the quality of cars that attend the BBQ is truly incredible. We want to show as much of what made it to the event as we can. It’s always a reminder of the thriving Irish car scene.
If you watch the vlogs, you are probably aware of how this shoot came about. Just after we finished up taking photographs of Johns Sileighty, he mentioned his friend Padraig who had a pretty tasty selection of cars not far from the photoshoot location.
I always wonder what Toyota was thinking when they designed the Verossa. Combining the Chasers sportiness besides the Crestas Luxury, Toyota landed somewhere in the middle with this. If you follow much of Toyotas designs over the years, most of the cars borrow a little here or there from each other and carry similar traits with grilles and headlights body lines and so on.
