Prodrift Round 2: Punchestown carpark watch 2010

Its that time again. Sorry for the delay on actual updates. Ive been taking full advantage of the nice weather and doing some other stuff for the site also. Its always interesting to see what people are driving these days, that’s why we do this part of the site. Some stuff can be very cool while other vehicles are the opposite. Lets check it out.

A very different looking s15. Its rocking the nt03 Enkei wheels which are pretty cool. There an unusual wheel. I don’t know if the Nismo spoiler looks cool, always been more of a fan of no spoilers on s15s but this is an exception. A cool overall car to be honest.

Not too many of these have been touched around with on our shores. It was cool to see one with a few bits added.

Looks like a gangster taxi with that CB aerial.

Standard but clean em1 maybe?

Hmmm? No comment.

So much potential with these ej8’s

XXR-502 Hyper’s actually look cool on this jzx90 chaser. Abit lower and this car would be a real winner.

A clean rps13 on XXR 962’s.

An all to common sight on Irish roads. Wrecked ek’s are everywhere, and if you whipped all that nonsense off and stuck a decent set of wheels on it and a few other bits you would have a winner.

This r32 was cool.

They look so good without spoilers and those bbs rms are definitley doing it.  A few spacers and this car would look like a winner.

This Dc2 seems to have a nice few goodies.

The spoon calipers wrapped in some Advan RGs was a tasty sight.

The essential lexus lights and bad wheels.

Seems this was a real skyline car, I wouldn’t have bothered with the fake exhaust protector sticker.

A cool clean cp9a evo 6. These can look crazy when on the right wheels.

I felt the same for this CT9A evo 8. The team dynamics wheels weren’t doing this car justice. Maybe its the owners taste but these cars can look so aggresive.
I guess at the end of the day its up to whose driving the car and what its used for.

I definitely enjoyed this paddy stanced clio. It was hilarious.

This looked a bit on the wow side.

This r32 looked mean as fuck without that grill and that frontal damage added to its image in a positive way.

This was definitely Irish. Its crazy because this was such a common site only a few years ago.

And then you see the other frame of mind, which actually looks cool. Its simple and had a fresh colour. I enjoyed this little mk3. It just looked very fresh for a fiesta. Nice to see something different.

The type r bumper doesn’t look so bad on the ej8, but there’s nothing worse then type r stickers on anything but the real thing. Whats the point?

I definitely wouldn’t be exposing the power drums either. There such a nice car and there’s always good potential.

I couldn’t believe how corroded this e36 was. The owner must wash it with salty water.

This was clean and simple. The rg’s look delicious on the evo3. Especially in gold on silver.

This s14 definitely has potential to be something. There definitely a car which can look awesome standard or without a crazy kit.

A Tad bit lower and the right wheels and these cars are amazing. There’s so many of these flying around in the sky.I hate saying it but it actually makes some difference.

The type r bumper actually suites this silver ek. Sitting comfortably on some P1s.

Looks like someones having fun.

A clean white on white Altezza with Buddy club’s.

The black ep3 was very gangster with the black rg2 replicas.

More rg2 replicas. They look kind of cool with the black boot spoiler. This little crx is going places, I would ditch the clear taillights but other then that, there’s serious potential.

This evo 7 was pretty cool. Nice clean and simple on racing heart CP35’s.

I definitely wasn’t expecting to see a Holden pickup in the car park.

Another clean rps13 on some 9 spoke mesh.

This Jordan is one of the reasons you would end up not liking yellow Honda’s.

Slammed merc, with a German style plate. Cool

Another clean white Altezza on bronze Work crk ai’s

A seriously clean looking s13 on Advan AVS Model 5 wheels. Quite possibly one of the most raped wheels thanks to wolfrace.

Another s13 with some wide arches and some more AVS model 5’s.

Big birds ek9 on some Buddy club P1s.

The Desmond Regamaster replicas aren’t so bad in gold. A little lower and this would be one cool ek4.

A nice supercharged Altezza on yet again the AVS model 5 wheels. The real ones are actually a sweet wheel. Its a shame there are so many companies ripping off other’s. Once you see the replica so much you almost forget the real thing.

This s15 was hitting the spot.

I was excited about this ae92. An unusual sight in Ireland to see a Japanese one for a change and in such a clean condition.

The rota Work equip replicas looked really good with the red lip.

I really liked the look of this Alpina style e30.

This rps13 was pretty cool. The Rota gtr’s wouldn’t be the favorite choice but they can look so good with the right offset and size. Everything else on this car was hitting the spot.

An rps13 that looked like it had just fallen out of the hills of Osaka. The SSR Watanabe rs8 wheels actually looked so good on the black s chassis body.

Another cool jzx90. This time with some Ultralite GT-II’s.

Looked amazing from the rear. What a nice car. Rocking some snug fit on the rear also which is a plus.

Another s14.  This car definitely would look amazing with the right stance. It just suits Silvias so well.

A cool clean eg. I liked the look of this car sitting on some ssr type x replicas by rota. There a sweet clean wheel with the red lip. They  really suit Honda’s so easily.

It made me sad to see such a trueno on supershites. There such an amazing car and this should definitely be sitting one something else.

Converting Jap to European on the rear wouldn’t be my cup of juice either. Id definitely be taking advantage of owning a JDM trueno. Especially one which looks this clean.

This Japanese gc8g was very clean.

A dc5 with some potential.

A clean looking Yellow s15 on some Ultralite Twin-5’s.

This time a picture can actually speak 1000 words. Holy fucking shit.

As we were leaving we spotted the ultimate diamond in the rough.

An ej1 which looked pretty choppy, but in a good way I guess. On closer inspection I realized it was rocking some real mugen RnR’s. Rota have raped this wheel and its everywhere now.

Drilled rear discs also with some genuine RnR’s for a change. This car was cool as fuck minus the twin rear pipes. Its a shame it looks a bit choppy, maybe the owner is lazy or busy or has it this way on purpose to give that whole sleeper look? Or doesn’t realize what hes got? Who knows, either way its a cool car. Id definitely add two more wheel nuts, because there not exactly a wheel id like to make bits of anytime soon. This about raps up the car park sniff.  Hope you enjoyed it. There is definitely alot of potential with cars that have landed here in Ireland. Its scary to see how much cool stuff is actually around. I guess at the end of the day I’m adding opinions to some of the images and I might be full of shit in the eyes of some but the right wheels and the right look exterior wise can fool anyone and turn heads. Everyone judges a book by its cover. Hope you enjoyed this, If not… hard luck. Stay tuned for some delayed Prodrift coverage tomorrow!! Good times.
